Every claim on Pickleball Zone traces back to one of two things: a primary source we checked, or play time we put in ourselves. This page is the standard we hold ourselves to; hold us to it too.
Venue listings
- A venue goes live only after its sessions and prices are confirmed against the venue's own booking page, website, or a direct conversation with the organisers.
- Every venue page shows a “Verified [month year]” date: that's when a human last checked it, not when the page was generated.
- Prices are re-verified on a rolling quarterly cycle, priority to busy venues.
- Corrections submitted via the report form are re-checked at source before the page changes.
- When a venue closes, the page stays up marked “Closed” with nearby alternatives for around six months, then redirects to its city page, so nobody travels to a dead court.
- Listings are free. Venues cannot pay to change their ranking or their facts.
Gear reviews
- No play time, no score. We only publish a rated review after real sessions with the product. Buying guides that explain how to choose are clearly separated from tested rankings.
- Products are bought at retail where possible. If a manufacturer sends a unit free, the review says so, and they get no copy approval and no veto.
- Paddles are scored on the same 0–10 rubric every time: control, power, spin, comfort, build quality and value at its UK price.
- This matches the UK's Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act rules on genuine reviews: we never claim to have tested something we haven't.
How the site is funded
Some retailer links are affiliate links; qualifying purchases earn us a commission at no cost to you. Affiliate status never changes a verdict, a rank, or whether a venue is listed. If we later introduce featured venue placement, it will be visually labelled and will never alter the editorial ranking.
