Horley, Surrey
Tadworth, Surrey
Four bookable pickleball courts through the week make Tadworth one of Surrey's better-equipped halls. Note that the centre doesn't hire out equipment, so bring paddles and balls.
Redhill, Surrey
Redhill's main leisure centre offers pickleball in its sports hall, bookable through the Better app. Central, near the station, and an easy evening game for the Reigate side of the borough.
Lightwater
A leisure centre on the edge of Lightwater Country Park and one of Runnymede Royals' regular homes. The Royals are a big, well-organised members' club, so expect an induction before your first game and properly run sessions afterwards.
Windlesham

A Windlesham venue on Westwood Road that hosts a Runnymede Royals lunchtime session on Thursdays. An hour is just long enough for several games and not quite long enough to lose your temper over a line call.
Woking
The big leisure centre in Woking Park, where Runnymede Royals run a late Wednesday evening session. Ideal for commuters who want to burn off the 6.40 from Waterloo.
Woking's modern sports centre on Egley Road and one of four venues used by Woking Pickleball Club, a young community club that has grown quickly. Sessions run two hours, which is about right for most knees.
A school on Old Woking Road listed among Woking Pickleball Club's four venues. The club also runs coaching, drills and clinics for members who want to move up a level.
A friendly club beside Woking Park, within walking distance of the town centre, with twice-weekly social pickleball that welcomes non-members. Easy to fit around a commute.
Camberley
Camberley's main leisure centre, run by Places Leisure, where Runnymede Royals start their Tuesdays with a two-hour morning session. A civilised hour for pickleball, and the car park is generally kind before ten.
East Molesey
The sports club at Imber Court in East Molesey, where Dink Pickleball runs Thursday coaching for beginners. A tidy way to learn the dink from people who take it seriously, without having to take yourself seriously at all.
Sheerwater, Woking
A leisure centre in Sheerwater that hosts Woking Pickleball Club sessions. Equipment is provided, so a first visit asks nothing more of you than enthusiasm and suitable shoes.
Horsell, Woking
The sports hall at Woking High School in Horsell, where Woking Pickleball Club plays on Sunday mornings. A sound alternative to a lie-in, and considerably more sociable.
Haslemere
Haslemere's leisure centre on Woolmer Hill, with a two-hour Wednesday evening session. One of the few places to play in this corner of Surrey, where the hills make indoor sport feel like a reward.
Ewell
North East Surrey College of Technology in Ewell, where Surrey Downs Pickleball plays once a week on top of its sessions at Tadworth. Members book in advance, so drop the club a line first.
Ashtead
A Surrey tennis club that has opened its new courts to pickleball: book, turn up, play. Non-members are welcome at £5 per half hour, which is pleasingly uncomplicated.
Capel
A village tennis club near Dorking with a pickleball court open to the public at £8 an hour, no membership needed. Bring your own paddles and three friends.
Elstead
Five pickleball courts on a rural recreation ground near Godalming, with coaching, teams and players aged from 3 to 80. One of Surrey's most complete village set-ups.
Farnham
Nine indoor pickleball courts on a Farnham trading estate, billed as the UK's largest indoor pickleball and padel venue. A serious, purpose-built place to play, with coaching and socials for every level.
David Lloyd's Farnham club on Monkton Lane, with pickleball on the racket programme. Farnham is fast becoming a pickleball town, with dedicated venues nearby too.
Guildford
The University of Surrey's big sports complex, where Milford U3A's pickleball group plays on Thursday mornings for £3. It's oversubscribed, which says everything about the price.
Leatherhead
As the name suggests, Daytime Dinkers is for those whose diaries are free in office hours: three indoor sessions a week at Leatherhead Leisure Centre, social or competitive as you prefer.
Limpsfield
A village tennis club below the North Downs near Oxted, with a pickleball section for members. Surrey's quieter corner, nicely served.
Epsom
A David Lloyd club in a converted boiler house at Horton, Epsom, with member Pickleball Club sessions. Characterful building, comfortable courts.
A Places Leisure centre in central Epsom where pickleball is one of the bookable sports. Handy for players who can't make the evening club sessions elsewhere.
Old Woking
David Lloyd's Woking club, with seven indoor tennis courts and pickleball alongside them. Woking already has a lively pickleball scene; this is its members' club.
Ash, Aldershot
A four-court sports hall at Ash Manor, on the Surrey and Hampshire border, available for pickleball alongside netball, basketball and five-a-side. Handy for Aldershot and Farnham.
Caterham
One of the busiest Freedom Leisure pickleball venues: doubles match play for over-60s on Wednesdays, all-ages sessions, and a coached competitive session for players rated 3.5 DUPR and above. It has also hosted a pickleball tournament.
Dorking
Dorking's sports centre, with pickleball courts bookable through Better. A convenient option below the North Downs, with courts bookable online or in the app.
